All our nucs come in a 6-frame Payne’s Poly Nuc box, which includes a side feeder and a ventilated roof (both included in the price). If you selected 'Delivery': We ship our colonies via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The courier aims to deliver before 1:00 PM the following day. Booking your slot: We will contact you in advance to arrange a convenient delivery date. This ensures someone is available at the property to receive the bees immediately upon arrival.

We do not offer fixed delivery dates at checkout because the timing of your delivery depends entirely on the spring weather and the development of the colony. Our Process: All our overwintered nucs are prepared in early summer and carefully managed throughout the season and the winter months. We aim to dispatch our colonies between late April and the end of May, but this timeline is entirely dependent on the weather conditions. Ensuring Quality: Our primary goal is to ensure you receive a strong, healthy, and gentle colony. We carry out thorough inspections following the winter period to guarantee 100% satisfaction before any bees are sent. Given that the British spring can be very unpredictable, we will only post your nuc once we are certain it is ready and the weather is suitable for transit. Communication: We will send you regular updates as spring approaches to keep you informed of your order’s progress and to arrange a suitable delivery day with you.

Please don’t worry; we can easily work around your availability. We understand that plans change and you may be away during the spring. How to notify us: If you have specific dates when you will be unavailable, simply get in touch before we confirm your delivery. We will make a note of your dates and ensure your nuc is not dispatched until you are home and ready to receive it. The Coordination Process: Because our bees are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, a signature is required. We will always contact you to agree on a specific arrival date before the bees leave us, ensuring the handover is smooth and the bees aren't left waiting.
